We were thrilled to be part of the DTLA Alliance 17th Anniversary Halloween Festival, an event that brought the community together in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Hosted at the beautiful Grand Hope Park, this vibrant celebration offered a perfect mix of festive fun, community engagement, and warm autumn vibes. Here’s a glimpse into our memorable experience and the many activities that made the day special.
At our table, we set up a custom-designed picture frame for visitors to use as a prop for our photo booth. Families, friends, and kids of all ages lined up to capture festive photos and take home tangible memories of the day. The spooky yet charming frame provided a fun way for attendees to immortalize their Halloween outfits and celebrate the moment with loved ones.
But the excitement didn’t stop there. We also distributed tote bags filled with a delightful assortment of free products and candy. These tote bags weren’t just practical; they were the perfect keepsake to remember the festival by, featuring our branding and decorated with playful Halloween designs. Each bag was packed with surprises that delighted attendees of all ages, making our booth a must-visit stop.
To keep the youngest festival-goers engaged, we hosted a craft station where kids could create their very own ghost decorations. This hands-on activity encouraged creativity and added an interactive element that kept children entertained while their parents explored the rest of the festival. The laughter and joy of little ones as they proudly displayed their handmade ghosts created an atmosphere of lighthearted fun and community togetherness.
The festival wouldn’t have been complete without the generous contributions of fellow participants. Shake Shack added to the event’s festive energy by serving free hot dogs, a hit among attendees craving a savory treat. Meanwhile, Capital One ensured that no sweet tooth went unsatisfied by offering delicious cookies, perfectly complementing the bags of candy we distributed.
One of the highlights for many families was the unique setup of "trick-or-treat" doors, where children could simulate the experience of going door to door, knocking on whimsically decorated panels to receive treats. This playful nod to traditional Halloween activities added an extra touch of excitement and nostalgia, making the event even more magical.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the DTLA Alliance for allowing us to participate and contribute to this cherished event. Their dedication to bringing the community together and fostering a festive, inclusive atmosphere was evident throughout the day. Additionally, a huge thank you goes to ASU for sponsoring the festival and hosting it in their park, providing the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable celebration.
