Back-to-School Extravaganza: Breaking 2 Guinness World Records in One Day

On July 27th, 2024, BAZIC Products hosted a World Record Breaking: Back-To-School Extravaganza. In partnership with School on Wheels, a non-profit organization, and with the help of more than twenty notable community partners, we invited over 200 underprivileged students and their families for a day filled with fun and world-record-breaking excitement!

The highlight of our event was attempting to break the two official Guinness World Records for the longest line of backpacks and the most backpacks stuffed with school supplies in one hour. Thanks to the enthusiasm and hard work of more than 100 volunteers involved, we are thrilled to announce that we have successfully set two new Guinness World Records of 7,039 backpacks in both categories!

Our record-breaking event caught the attention of major media outlets, with ABC7 and KCAL covering the excitement live from our headquarters in El Monte, CA. With the Laker Girls taking pictures with students receiving their backpacks, it was a spectacle to behold. The news coverage helped spread the word about our mission to support education and provide essential school supplies to students across the LA County area.

Every backpack used in our record-breaking attempt was donated to students around the LA County area to jumpstart thousands of kids into their new school year.

Our event was packed with activities and attractions for kids of all ages. Here are some of the activations our notable community partners provided that brought fun to our back-to-school extravaganza:

• BAZIC Kid'z Zone: Face painting, balloon making, a 360 photo booth, and arts & crafts kept the kids entertained all day.
• School on Wheels: Provided free swag, gift cards, and additional school supplies for all attendees.
• LA Galaxy: Hosted exciting soccer activities.
• Bank of America: Gave away sunscreen and water bottles to keep everyone hydrated and protected from the sun.
• JBEZ: Offered free haircuts to help kids look their best for the new school year.
• LA County Library: Donated children’s books to encourage reading.
• Tzu Chi: Hosted a fun spin-the-wheel game with free fun prizes.
• Soles4Souls: Gave away free shoes and socks to students.
• One Big Family: Organized basketball games for everyone to enjoy.
• El Monte PD: Served delicious snow cones, unique sunglasses, and showcased their Bearcat vehicle.
